Throughout your journey you are going to learn a new set of skills as well as a new set 
of vocabulary. In the very beginning it is totally normal to feel like a fish out of water 
when you see posts in the group, videos, or past recordings referring to words you may 
have never heard of before. This sheet will be a guide to quickly look back to when a 
word may not make sense…..yet! Don’t worry, we all started exactly where you are 
right now. 
 
 
SEO​ - ​Search Engine Optimization​ is a methodology of strategies, techniques and 
tactics used to increase the amount of visitors to a website by obtaining a high-ranking 
placement in the search results page of a search engine (SERP) — including Google, 
Bing, Yahoo and other search engines. 
 
BACKLINK​ - In ​search engine optimization​ (​SEO​) terminology, a ​backlink​ is a 
hyperlink that links from a web page, back to your own web page or web site. Also 
called an Inbound Link (IBL) these links are important in determining the popularity (or 
importance) of your Web site. 
 
Anchor Text -​ text that is made to link to another site becoming a backlink 
 
EXAMPLE: ​VIDEO​ the word video is the anchor text for that link 
 
Index​ - what google does when it finds a web page worth keeping in its index (and 
possibly ranking for searches) 
 
 
LOW HANGING FRUIT (LHF)​ - n ​ iches that will be the easiest to dominate locally 
by understanding how the Google Map listings coincide with the organic search listings 
below. After doing your due diligence, analyze what the competition is doing as far as 
their GMB optimization (on/off listing optimization), website optimization (on/off site 
optimization)

“PUBLISH”​ your site - to make it visible and accessible on the internet. We can also 
say that our site is ​“LIVE” 
 
HEADER​ - The top section of your website that makes navigating your website easier 
as well creating a consistent browsing experience throughout your website 
Footer -​ area at the bottom of your website with links to other important pages. 
 
What are Sections in weebly? 
MOBILE RESPONSIVE / FRIENDLY​ - when a website’s content, images and site 
structure are able to be viewed clearly and easily on any mobile device.  
 
ACCORDION - ​an app in Weebly that organizes your content into a clickable, 
expandable, and collapsable menu. It helps to minimize the scrolling the amount of 
scrolling you do, and is completely customizable.  
 
LOREM IPSUM - ​standard dummy text of the printing and typesetting industries ever 
since the 1500s. We use it just to put some words on our webpage when we are on the 
build out of our webpages. Once you have your content, you can remove the dummy 
text.  
 
CSS (CASCADING STYLE SHEETS) - ​a stylesheet language used to describe the 
style or presentation of HTML and XML code. 
 
HTML (HYPERTEXT MARKUP LANGUAGE) - ​code used to structure a webpage and 
its content. 
 
H1 - ​one of​ ​the first thing the search engines (SERPs) will read on your site. Also called 
a super title.  
 
EMAIL CONTACT FORM / QUOTE FORM - ​a form that is placed on every page on 
your site so that leads can get in contact with you and/or receive their quote. Leads will 
be able to input important information useful to your contractors.  
 
CLICKABLE LOGO -​ a logo on your site that is able to be clicked. Once clicked, the 
leads will be able to call your contractor.  
 
CLICK TO CALL BUTTON -​ a link on your lead generation site that is able to be 
clicked. Once clicked, the leads will be able to call your contractor.  
 
Titles Vs Text - ​on Weebly, Title boxes are H2 html code and text boxes are h3 html 
code. 
 
CONTENT​ - all of the authoritative information written on your website that explains and 
offers a service. 
 
KEYWORDS​ - all of the main words that are relevant to the niche you’ve chosen 
 
Alt Text - ​this text gives the search engines and other bots context for your images. It 
helps the search engines understand the meaning of your image. 
 
Callsling -​ phone tracking software 
 
IVR - Interactive Voice Response - ​phone tree settings in Callsling that have 
pre-recorded menu options. 
 
WORDPRESS​ - an open source software that allows you to create a website, blog or 
app.  
 
HOSTING​ - a business that provides the technology and services which are required so 
that a website is able to be viewed on the internet.  
 
DNS​ - The Domain Name System (​DNS​) is the phonebook of the Internet. 
 
A-records -​ ​A Records are the most basic type of DNS record and are used to p ​ oint a 
domain to an IP address​ ie “connecting” your domain to Weebly to make your site live. 
 
Registrar - ​A ​domain​ name ​registrar​ is a company that manages the reservation of Internet 
domain​ names. (like Godaddy) 
 
DUE DILIGENCE - ​the process of determining if a niche is low hanging fruit in a certain 
market.  
 
E-COMMERCE​ (Electronic Commerce (internet commerce)) - the buying or selling of 
goods or services using the internet. The transfer of money and data is also involved to 
be able to go through with these types of transactions.  
 
LEAD GENERATION VS. SEO -​ with lead generation, YOU own the website and send 
all of the leads that flow through your site to a contractor. You go through the process of 
SEO for yourself to be able to position yourself to receive many leads. SEO is work you 
do for other businesses. Once you rank a business, they can choose to stop working 
with you. In lead generation, you own the digital property and can fire a business owner 
if needed. 
 
ON PAGE/ONSITE OPTIMIZATION​ - adding the proper amount of content and 
keywords to your website, interlinking your pages, setting your H1 tags (super title), 
setting your page titles and descriptions, image optimization and resizing photos. 
 
OFF-SITE OPTIMIZATION -​ proper backlinking using white hat methods, copy cat 
method, proper ratio of no-follow and dofollow backlinks and influence. 
 
DOMAIN - ​your websites name - the address where users can access your site 
 
URL (Uniform Resource Locator) - ​the web address 
 
SUBDOMAIN -​ a domain that is part of another domain (​niche.WEEBLY.​COM) 
 
MAJESTIC -​ Marketing search engine and SEO backlink checker. You are able to 
check the Trust Flow, Citation Flow and amount of backlinks of a website here.  
 
SEO QUAKE -​ a plugin that allows you to monitor organic research data for websites.  
 
GROUP BUY​ - ​access to all your favorite SEO Tools at a fraction of the cost including:

INFLUENCE - ​websites that have a high SEO score, trust, age and authority with 
Google including many backlinks. Due to the fact that these sites have such a high SEO 
score, they are perfect for backlinking to and ranking your lead generation sites. 
 
PBN (Private Blog Network)​ - a network of authoritative websites used to build links to 
your money website(s) for the purpose of ranking higher in the search engines 
 
Knocking out 3rd graders - ​stick with low hanging fruit instead of going up against big 
competitors in big markets. 
 
“Don’t get mad at your money” - ​Do anything necessary to close a deal, even if it’s a 
deal that’s lower than you would have liked.  
 
Virtual vending machines - ​Lead gen sites that run on autopilot (set up pay per call or 
pay per lead in callsling to charge everyday) 
 
DIGITAL BILLBOARDS -​ What we call our ranked lead generation sites and Google 
My Business listings.

Organic Listings​ - where your website is listed on Google. All organic listings are 
shown under the map pack. 
 
Citations -​ where your company is mentioned on other websites and places found on 
the internet. name, address, phone number of your business located on other websites. 
 
Citation Flow -​ a metric that shows us how influential a link is coming from another site 
and does not take into account trust or spammy links. It is simply the amount/flow, shear 
volume of referring links and the value of those.  
 
Trust Flow -​ a metric that reflects the low quality backlinks. Generally lower than the 
citation flow 
 
Topical Trust Flow - ​a patent Google released that analyzes sites in a more 
categorical differentiator 
 
Golden Ratio -​ the right ration between Citation Flow and Trust Flow 
 
WhiteSpark - ​Software which counts how many citations a business has
