Sport is a very important part of life and apart from actively taking apart, many people

enjoy following sports championships and events throughout the year . However, in my
country Perú, the most popular sports are football and volleyball. And today I will talk
about it.

The bar chat looks at the two most popular sports in Perú in terms of people
participating. One point to note is that all these sports include a range of activities. For
example, “football” includes football in grass and rugby. And “volleyball” includes slab
volleyball and beach volleyball. The results in the graph show percentages of people
who actively participate in that sport at least once a week.

The blue and the red columns make a direct comparison between the years from
October 2000 to October 2019. As you can see, the statistics show there has been
increased in Peruvian people who play football. And also there has been decreased in
people who play volleyball.

In fact, there is a slightly increase in the number of people playing football. So, now is
the most popular sport in Perú, because this sport is fun. All people play it. In the table
you can see that children are those who play more football than adults. The children
play anytime and  anywhere. About volleyball you can see the number of people
playing volleyball has decreased significantly. Perhaps this is because volleyball
players requires equipment, for example outfit and very expensive go to abroad.
Because they need money to cover their expenses such as food, lodging,
transportation. However, women play more than children.

It’s important to remember that the information in the table only focuses on the two
most popular sports in Perú. These results shouldn’t surprise anyone,, because
volleyball players don’t have government support. And so, it has decreased
significantly.
