This research is based on problems that exist in schools during the New Normal
era, namely the importance of school principals in analyzing the improvement of ASN
teacher performance at 104201 Public Elementary School, Village of Kab. Deli Serdang
with the results of a questionnaire and interview of preliminary studies conducted by
researchers that obtained the results of the percentage of 25% of ASN teachers who have
carried out online learning activities and were declared to have improved performance.
Whereas 75% of the results of the questionnaire and interview were stated by ASN
teachers in SDN 104201 Deli Serdang institutions experiencing a decrease in
performance with various factors. So this study aims to analyze the improvement of ASN
teacher performance at SDN 104201 Deli Serdang by using the work ethic factor
approach carried out by the principal as a researcher. This study uses simple regression
analysis techniques and uses data collection methods through observation,
documentation, and interviews, as well as calculation of ASN teacher performance
analysis. Simple regression coefficient value of the learning performance variables of the
New Normal Era (X) has increased from 0.430 to 0.718, which means it can be
interpreted that the variable (X) has increased and is evidenced by the ASN teacher
performance that increased during the new normal era in 2020.
