1.1.

Candidates must be agency owners or employees who are, or work full time for
a full ALPA Member.

1.2. Candidates must have less than ten (10) years full time agency industry
experience as at 30 June in the year of nominating for the award.

1.3. ALPA National Young Auctioneer Competition winners are ineligible.

2.1. Candidates may nominate themselves, or may be nominated by their employer,


other staff, other agent members or industry people.

2.2. All candidates must include a fully completed ALPA Agency Award Nomination
Form and submission addressing the Award and Judging Criteria. Incomplete
submissions will not be accepted.

2.3. All submissions remain the property of ALPA.

2.4. Candidates agree to the use of their submission for publicity purposes. The
confidentiality of commercial in confidence material that may be provided
within the submission will be respected.

3.1. The ALPA Agency Award Nomination Form must be completed fully. The
submission must be of a professional standard addressing the Award and
Judging Criteria. ALPA reserves the right to accept or reject submissions to

ensure they are of a quality commensurate with the professional expectations
of the award.

3.2. Candidates whose submission has been accepted must attend an interview on
the morning of the ALPA AGM.

3.3. All candidates must attend the ALPA AGM dinner for the winner announcement.

3.4. The ALPA selection panel’s decision will be final.

4.1. The interview panel is to consist of three (3) judges including one (1) Agricultural
Media judge. ALPA to appoint judges and Agricultural Media to nominate their
representative.

4.2. No member of the interview panel (with the exception of the Agricultural Media
representative) can judge for more than two (2) consecutive years.

4.3. Judges cannot be associated with the company of the candidates.

4.4. Judges cannot be from the same locality as the candidates.

4.5. It is the judge’s responsibility to contact the candidate’s referees if relevant, as


supplied by ALPA staff, prior to the candidate’s interview.

5.1. All candidates must respond promptly to all requests for information from
ALPA. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

5.2. All candidates must make themselves available to ALPA for promotional duties
on request prior to and immediately after the Award announcement. Failure to
abide by this request may result in forfeiture of the prize.

5.3. The Award Winner may be requested to do a formal presentation at the


following year’s ALPA Annual General Meeting.

6.1. ALPA reserves the right to add, replace or disqualify a nominated judge or
candidate at any time at the CEO’s discretion.

6.2. If the Award Winner acts in a manner deemed unprofessional, they may be
considered unfit to represent ALPA. They may have their title removed and their
prize will be revoked.

6.3. If the Award Winner leaves the industry before prize redemption, the judges
may select a replacement to redeem the prize based on original applications
and interviews.

6.4. The Award Winner may not re-enter the competition.

6.5. Sponsorship, prizes and presentation of awards is the sole responsibility of the
CEO.

6.6. Candidates consent to be photographed/filmed by any staff of ALPA, or a


representative, in connection with their participation in the event to be
published and/or reproduced in any promotional material, website or social
media ALPA deems appropriate as per the ALPA Privacy Policy.

6.7. The ALPA Board reserves the right to add, replace or amend these conditions at
their absolute discretion at any time.
