Date of Loss: 2020-06-23 Insurance Carrier: USAA

Dear KEVIN GREGORY KENNEDY,

After reviewing your claim, your 2013 HONDA CIVIC LX has been determined to be a total loss. What
this means is USAA will not be repairing your vehicle but rather will pay you the actual cash value of
your vehicle.

What’s a total loss?

A car is declared a total loss when it is neither practical nor economical to repair the vehicle. Most
states regulate the definition of a Total Loss either by a percentage of damage or by using the Total
Loss formula (Cost of Repairs + Salvage Value > Actual Cash Value). In accordance with USAA policy
language, a vehicle is considered a total loss whenever a USAA approved appraisal source
determines the vehicle to be impractical or non-economical to repair. If USAA’s procedures or
guidelines differ from those mandated by the state, state requirements will prevail.

Your Settlement

Actual Cash Value $6516.00

Taxes and Fees $440.96

Your Deductible $500.00

We Pay $6568.31

Please note that the above figures do not include any payments to lienholder (if applicable) If
you wish to discuss your settlement further, please contact your USAA adjuster directly.
