users enter into their system. By protecting information from accidental alteration, validation rules provide
additional security and data quality assurance.
Data encryption: Data encryption is a common method of ensuring confidentiality. User IDs and
passwords constitute a standard procedure; two-factor authentication is very common. Other options
include biometric verification and security tokens, key fobs or soft tokens.

IT Contractors have a legal responsibility to have a privacy policy because Privacy laws around the world
dictate: if you collect personal information from your website visitors, then you need to have a Privacy
Policy posted to your site. It is important to have a privacy policy because it tells the website visitors and
costumers that you will keep their personal information private and your business is compliant with
Australian privacy law. As internet users are now concerned about who sees and how their personal
information may be used, they need to be assured that their personal information will not be used in any
marketing.
“Privacy act 1988” is an Australian law dealing with privacy.
