Lesson 10 Reading Comprehension and Paraphrasing

马大为星期天常常跟林娜去商场。
Mǎ Dàwéi xīngqítiān chángcháng gēn Lín Nà qù shāngchǎng
On Sunday, Ma Dawei often goes to the shopping mall with Lin Na.

那个商场很大.东西也很多。
Nà gè shāngchǎng hěn dà. Dōngxī yě hěnduō.
That shopping mall is very big. There are also a lot of things.

他们在那儿买音乐光盘,王小云也在。
Tāmen zài nà'er mǎi yīnyuè guāngpán, Wáng Xiǎoyún yě zài.
They are there to buy Music CD, Wang Xiaoyun is also there.

马大为喜欢中国音 乐。
Mǎ Dàwéi xǐhuān Zhōngguó yīn lè.
Ma Dawei likes Chinese Music.

他问王小云,什么音乐光盘好?王小云说《梁祝》很有名.外国朋友也 喜欢。
Tā wèn Wáng Xiǎoyún, shénme yīnyuè guāngpán hǎo? Wáng Xiǎoyún shuō 《Liáng
Zhù》hěn yǒumíng. Wàiguó péngyǒu yě xǐhuān.
He ask Wang Xiaoyun, what music CD is good? Wang Xiaoyun said 《Liang Zhu》is
very famous. Foreign friends also liked it.

马大为很高兴,说: “好,我买这张光盘。”
Mǎ Dàwéi hěn gāoxìng, shuō: “Hǎo, wǒ mǎi zhè zhāng guāngpán.”
Ma Dawei was very glad and said; “Okay, I’ll buy this CD.”

马大为还要买书和报,这 个商场不卖书,也不卖报。
Mǎ Dàwéi hái yāo mǎi shū hé bào, zhè gè shāngchǎng bù mài shū, yě bù mài bào.
Ma Dawei also wants to buy books and newspaper; this shopping mall does not sell
books and newspapers.

他跟王小云去买本子和笔。
Tā gēn Wáng Xiǎoyún qù mǎi běnzi hé bǐ.
He goes to buy notebook and pen with Wang Xiaoyun.

马大为还常常去店。书
Mǎ Dàwéi hái chángcháng qù shūdiàn.
Ma Dawei also often goes to bookstore

那个书店也很大, 书很多。
Nà gè shūdiàn yě hěn dà, shū hěnduō.
That bookstore is also very big, there are a lot of books.

他在书店 买书,也看书。
Tā zài shūdiàn mǎishū, yě kànshū.
He is at bookstore to buy books and to read books also.

中国书不贵。
Zhōngguó shū bù guì.
Chinese books were not expensive.

下月二十号是他弟弟的生日。
Xià yuè èrshí hào shì tā dìdì de shēngrì.
On the Twentieth of next month is his younger brother’s birthday.

他弟弟喜欢中 国功夫,马大为要送弟弟一本《中国功夫》。
Tā dìdì xǐhuān Zhōngguó gōngfū, Mǎ Dàwéi yào sòng dìdì yī běn “Zhōngguó gōngfū”.
His younger brother likes Chinese Kung Fu, Ma Dawei wants to give as a present to His
younger brother a book about Chinese Kung Fu.
