CHAPTER ONE
The second book in an epic middle grade series with awesome elemental
powers, nightmarish creatures, and nonstop adventure that will thrill kids
who love Avatar: The Last Airbender, Rick Riordan, and Brandon Mull.

Five elements. Two worlds. One city…and one chance to save it.

In the past two weeks, Gabe Conway has fought a six-winged dragon,
bound himself to the element of fire, and rescued one of his best friends
from the twisted parallel dimension known as Arcadia. Now he has to find a
way to do something even more impossible: destroy Arcadia forever—
before a sinister cult unleashes its nightmare of death and destruction
across San Francisco.

“Thrilling entertainment. This fast-paced fantasy adventure should please

my opinion is that this chapter seemed very interesting to me since to begin

this book the script and the story of the characters tells mystical powers
widely used in fantasy books
CHAPTER TWO
THE SHADOW CITY starts off where I expected it to. The elementals are
trying to decide on their next move. There's Gabe, Lily, Brett, Kaz, and
Jackson and the fate of the world is in their hands.

There's a cult trying to combine the alternate universe of Arcadia and Earth
into one, starting with San Francisco. They're trying to do so by bring back
Gabe's ancestor Jonathan Thorne and they need Gabe in their clutches for
it to be possible. But the elementals have an agenda of their own and it's
stopping the cult by any means.

I loved how things didn't always go as expected. Instead, there were many
twists and turns that kept you in the dark about what would happen next.
It kept things interesting and there was plenty of action to keep you
reading. In THE SHADOW CITY friendships will be tested, trouble is hiding
within the shadows, and one decision will change everything.

Final Verdict: THE SHADOW CITY is perfect for fans of middle grade
fantasy/adventure and those who love the incredible things elements can
do. I also recommend it to fans of Percy Jackson and Avatar: The Last
Airbender.

My opinion on this chapter is that I loved how things did not always go as
expected. Instead, there were a lot of twists and turns that kept in the dark
about what would happen after that that gave a whole new face to the plot.
CHAPTER THREE
In this chapter it is illustrated that kaz and his friends went to a town to
visit a house that its appearance was not very modern since it was a very
old and outdated house but they discovered that there are only
Permanesian people with large sums of money.
While looking at the house they were sure that it was not a museum since
it had a very damaged and ugly wallpaper, and the floors were made of old
wood which made it smell a bit annoying when walking.
Throughout brett scream, come see the dining room.
What made kaz and lily ask what happened to the ghost boy here?
As if in answer, they Heard footsteps thumping overhead. Lily poked a
thumb at the ceiling.”
what is evident in this chapter is that the people who participate in the
story like kaz brett lily and the other characters represent that they are
always together but looking for mysteries and all that is good.

My opinion on this chapter is that it is also illustrated that sometimes the

antiquities are useful and I also loved the adventure that the whole team had
in this chapter.
CHAPTER FOUR
In Chapter 4 Gabe’s mother arrived unexpectedly, which made Gabe
scared, causing panic since it was not normal for his mother to arrive in
such a way that something tragic had happened, so the adventure of this
chapter begins.

My opinion about Chapter 4 is that it seems to me that it was a very good

chapter, although there was not much action like previous chapters, which
meant that there were parts that I did not understand and that bored me,
but I still found a good chapter like the other chapter.
CHAPTER FIVE
Gabe sat between his mother and father as they cruised down the country
road in his father’s pickup. They were on their way to the movies, and his
traste buds were all ser for heavily buttered popcorn. He watched the way
his father’s forearms. Gabe hoped he’d be as strong as hi dad one day.
“exited, honey?” his mother asked, and twined her fingers through gabe’s.
her skin was smooth and cool, and he nestled againts her, they heavy
curtain
of her long black hair falling around him.
“i can’t wait! It’s supposed to be awesome!”
His mother patted his hair and rested the side of her face againts the top of
his head.
“i’m afraid we’re going to be late, son,” gabe’s father said, and let his foot
sink father toward the flooboard. The pickup’s engine groweld as they
accelerated. The tres along the side of the road became greenish-brown
blurs.
“now, now, sweetheart, we’ve got plenty of time.” Gabe’s mother put a
finger
under gabe’s chin and tipped his face up to look at her.
Gabe lanced at his dad behind the weel and saw that his eyes were on fire.
Twin suns that could burn through anything. The fire spread across his
father’s face, and searing pain lanced through gabe’s hands, because they
were on fire, too.
His mother leaned forward and whisperend in his ear, “we will always be a
family.”

because personally this chapter, in addition to being amazing, seemed to
mesomething tender and rude since Gabe’s parents were with her
throughout
the chapter and not to mention that the proposed adventure was somewhat
short but it was also very exciting and also in this chapter we see the
importance to share with the people we love the most
