ভীেমর ধু ঘুম আর ঘুম। সকােল উঠেতই পাের না।

ধাপা রামু সুেযাগ পেলই ভীমেক বকা দয়।

একিদন গ গৗরী ভীমেক বেল, এেতা মন খারাপ কের আেছা কন?

ভীম বেল, আিম সকােল উঠেত পাির না। তাই রামু বকা দয়। রাজ সকােল তিম িক আমােক জািগেয় দেব?

হা, দেবা, গৗরী বেল। পরিদন সকােল গৗরীর ডাক, হা া! িক ভীেমর ঘুম ভােঙ না।

ভীম স ায় নদী থেক ফের। কুকুর মিতর সােথ দখা।

ভীম বেল, আিম সকােল সময়মেতা ঘুম থেক উঠেত পারিছ না। তিম িক আমােক জািগেয় দেব?

হা, দেবা, মিত বেল। পরিদন সকােল মিত ঘউ ঘউ কের ডােক। িক ভীেমর িক ঘুম ভােঙ? উ ।

সিদন স ায় মারগ িচনুর সােথ দখা।

ভীম িচনুেক বেল, তিম ভাের িচৎকার কের সকেলর ঘুম ভাঙাও। আমােক একট জািগেয় দাও না!

িচনু রািজ হয়। পরিদন ভাের িচনুর ডাক, ক রক! িক ভীেমর ঘুম ভােঙ না।

পেরর স ায় কাক কালুর সােথ দখা। কালু আনে কা-কা করিছেলা।
ভীম বেল, তিম িক আমােক সকােল জািগেয় দেব?
কালু বেল, কন নয়? আিম সকােল কা-কা করেবা আর তিম ঘুম থেক জেগ উঠেব।
পরিদন সকােল কালু কেতা কা-কা করেলা, িক ভীেমর ঘুম ভাঙেলা না।

ভীেমর মন খারাপ।
পরিদন সকােল ভনভন। একিট মািছ উেড় এেস তার নােক বেস।
উহ ... ছ ... হাে া! ভীম ড়মুড় কের উেঠ পেড়।

কী আন ! আিম জেগ উেঠিছ। িক কী কের জাগলাম?
আিম জািগেয়িছ, মািছ বেল।
তিম িক এভােব আমােক রাজ সকােল জাগােব?
অবশ ই!
ভীম খুব খুিশ। এখন সকােল উঠেত আর কান সমস া হেব না।
