এইেতা সিদন রাজু সকালেবলা যথারীিত িবদ ালেয় যাি ◌্েলা। স িবদ ালয় পছ কের। মেন তার আন । স হঁ াটিছল আর
ভাবিছল িদনিট কমন যােব। তখিন অ ত িকছ চােখ পেড়। তার সামেন অ াভািবক আকৃিতর িকছ িজিনস। িবদ ালেয়র িদেকই
যাে । তােদর কঁােধ ঝু লেছ লব াগ।

রাজু িজিনস েলার কােছ আেস। আের এ েলা িক সবিজ নািক! এ ধরেনর িজিনস স বাজাের দেখেছ। তার িব াস হে না। স
হাত িদেয় চাখ ঘেষ।

সবিজ েলা দখেত টাটকা ও া বান। তারা ু েদ সিনেকর মেতা মাচ কের িবদ ালেয় যাে । একজেনর িপছেন আেরকজন।

রাজু আেরা জাের হঁ াটা দয়। নতন সহপাঠ েদর িনেয় তার কী য কৗতহল! স তােদরেক আেরা কাছ থেক দখেত চায়।

অবেশেষ রাজু িজিনস েলার কােছ প েছ যায়। স েলা তার িঠক সামেন। স তােদর চহারার িদেক তািকেয় হা হেয় যায়।

 স যা ভেবিছেলা িঠক তাই। িজিনস েলা আসেলই সবিজ। গাল আলু, িমি আলু, গাছ আলু। আেরা নানা সবিজ য েলা মািটর
িনেচ ফেল। সবই স বাজাের দেখেছ।

‘আসেলই তামরা নািক?’ বাঝার আেগই িট রাজুর মুখ ফসেক বিরেয় যায়। সবিজ েলা কােনা উ র দয় না। তারা এেক
অপেরর িদেক তািকেয় হােস। তারা বশ মজা পেয়েছ।

‘ তামরা কাথায় যাে া?’ রাজুর চােখমুেখ িব য়। ‘আর কাথায়?’ সবিজ েলা একে জবাব দয়, ‘আমরা তামার িবদ ালেয়ই
যাি !’
রাজু মাথা নােড়। স কী বলেব ভেব পায় না। স িবদ ালেয় যেত থােক।

একট পের রাজু িপছেন তাকায়। ওরা িক এখেনা আসেছ? আর তখনই সকালেবলার ি তীয় িব য়। একদল সবুজ শাক যাগ িদেয়েছ
সবিজেদর সে । তারা িবদ ালেয়র িদেক যাে । কঁােধ লব াগ।

রাজু এখন তােদর িমিছেলর একজন। আনে র আর শষ নই। এ পয শাকসবিজর সে কউ িবদ ালেয় গেছ বেল তার জানা নই।

আে আে সকেল িবদ ালেয় প েছ। ছা ছা ীরা বাইের বিরেয় আেস অ ত িমিছলটােক ভােলা কের দখেত। দৃশ দেখ সকেল হা
কের তািকেয় থােক। িব েয় চাখ এেকবাের গাল।

রাজুর িশ ক তােদরেক াগত জানােত এিগেয় আেস।
‘ভােলা ছেল,’ রাজুর িপঠ চাপেড় িতিন বেলন।
রাজু আনি ত। ‘ধন বাদ িশ ক,’ খুিশ খুিশ ভাব িনেয় স বেল।
অন ছেলেমেয়রা হাততািল দয়, উ াস কের।
িশ ক চেল যান। িক তার িপেঠ ক যন চাপড় িদেয় যাে । আর এটা বশ শ ।

রাজু চাখ খােল। মা তােক জাগােনার জন ঝঁ াকুিন িদে । ‘রাজু, উেঠ পেড়া। িবদ ালেয় যেত দির হেয় যােব।’
রাজু এখন পুেরাপুির জেগ উেঠেছ। ‘আিম দখিছলাম,’ স িনেজ িনেজ বেল। ‘কী অ ত !’ মুচিক হেস রাজু িবছানা থেক
নােম। সময়মেতা িবদ ালেয় প ছােত হেল তােক তাড়াতািড় করেত হেব।
