Should any failure to any of these Gen Sets shall - upon notification thereof and evidence that the product has been stored,, installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with Dowen/Cummins specifications, instructions, recommendations and recognized standard industry practice, and not subject to misuse, repair, neglect, alteration or accident - correct such defects by suitable repair or replacement, at Dowen’s sole option, of any components or parts of the product determined by Dowen to be defective. ‘This warranty is for period 200 Running hours or 1 year from the supply date which comes first. Dowen also provide an extra guarantee that these Cummins generators will at least maintain the same lifecycle of the current products deployed by IHS in its network. CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY TO OBTAIN WARRANTY COVERAGE: e The purchaser must with no delay contact Dowen about any defect claimed under Dowen warranty. ¢ If both IHS and Dowen jointly confirm the existence of a defect covered by this warranty, the defect will be corrected by repair or replacement at Dowen option and under written autliorization by Dowen. Dowen will guarantee the availability of the Cummins spare parts during the lifecycle of the product, However, IHS will be responsible for the spare parts replacement cost as they are paying for other products. No transportation costs of any kind will be paid under this warranty. Shipment charges to send products to an authorized warranty repair facility shall be the responsibility of the purchaser. All returned goods shall be at the purchaser's risk and expense. This warranty is invalid if Dowen finds that the generators’ serial number, or any other element relevant to the machine identification, as well as the seals put by the factory, have been cancelled, changed or removed. Note: Dowen prefers to have those generators installed within its area of management to ensure that they are being treated based on the manufacturers’ recommendations and to ensure the maximum lifecycle. WARRANTY LIMITATIONS Dowen will not accept responsibility or liability for repairs made by any third party. This warranty becomes void if the purchaser has not respected the payment terms stated in the Purchase Order.
