“BACK TO THE FUTURE”

GOAL: Students talk about their partner’s life based on an interview

they do to their partner in the year 2060. They talk about the main

aspects of their partner’s life using all the grammatical and lexical

structures studied during the semester.

Topics for the first report (individual)
Part 1: Work with a partner and prepare an interview for your future selves
considering the following topics:
1.- Name, age, place and date of birth, job or occupation, family members, favorite
color and clothes (8-10 questions)
2.-Important events or moments in his/her life. (names and dates of schools:
kindergarten, primary, high school and university, # of children they had, work, etc.)
Ask questions about details. (12 – 16 questions)
1.-Current activities in his personal and professional life and leisure time. (2
questions)

Part 2: Report the information from the answers in a text

Topics for the second report
Part 1: Ask your partner to show you a picture and describe what they are doing
in the picture.
In the picture description include: where they are, who he/she is with, what
clothes they are wearing, what the weather is like in the picture and what they are
doing.

Part 2: Ask your partner to tell you what his/her plans for vacation are. Report
the information based on the topics below:
• Which country is he/she going to visit? Where is it located? What is the weather
like there?
• Who is she/he going with?
• How is she/he going to get there? Where is he/she going to stay?
• Interesting places to go sightseeing.
• Which activities is he/she going to do there? What typical food is he/she going to
try. What are they like? (describe the ingredients for one food and one drink)
