PAPA’S PEANUT BUTTER &

JELLY SANDWICH

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
Chefs will be able to create a flawless
peanut butter and jelly sandwich (PB&J)
according to Papa John’s standards.

INGREDIENTS PROCEDURE
• 1 jar Jiffy peanut 1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.

4. Open the plastic wrap covering the bread loaf from the top

5. Place the two slices on your plate, one next to the other.
6. Unscrew the lid of both the Jiffy peanut butter jar and the
Concord jelly jar. Place both lids aside.

7. Starting with the peanut butter jar, place the first butter knife
• 2 clean butterknives in the Jiffy’s peanut butter jar and using the knife, remove what
• 1 clean plate appears to be two rounded tablespoons.

8. With the knife covered in peanut butter, use the face of the
knife to evenly spread the two tablespoons of peanut butter on
one slice of Sara Lee bread.

9. Pick up your second knife, place it in the Concord jelly jar and
using the butter knife, remove what appears to be two rounded
tablespoons from the Concord jelly jar.

10. With the second knife covered in jelly, use the face of the
knife to evenly spread the two tablespoons of jelly on the second
slice of Sara Lee bread.

11. Place the peanut butter slice of bread on top of the jelly slice
of bread, ensuring the jelly and peanut butter sides are touching
each other.

12. Center the sandwich on the plate and serve.
