After 2 years later he left Lincoln, he completed his academic course at
Harvard. Before entered the Law School he went home for the summer vocation.
And there, he can meet with all of her family’s members. Mrs. Harling one of them
remember him to Antonia’s story whose grandmother had told her before.

When he got home at summer & went into the photographer’s shop with his
grandfather, some of the pictures there make his went away feeling that he must see
Antonia again.

One of first or second day on August. He got a horse & cart and set out for
the high country to visit the widow Steavens. The wheat harvest was over , the old
pasture land was now being broken up into wheatfields & cornfields. The red grass
was disappearing & the whole face of the country was changing. Many thing there,
make him must feel Antonia again.

And when he walked over to Shimerdas’ with Yulka in an afternoon, he

showed him the baby & told him that Antonia was shocking wheat on the southwest
quarter.
