Welldocumented effects of low intensity EMFs: Induction of oxidative stress, DNA damage,

epigenetic changes, altered gene expression and induction including inhibition of DNA repair
and changes in intracelluar calcium metabolism. Both low-intensity ELF-EMF and non-thermal
RF-EMF effects depend on a number of physical parameters and biological variables and
physical parameters, which account for the variation in health outcomes. Importantly, the most
severe health effects are observed with prolonged chronic exposures even when intensities are
very low.
