BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

INTRODUCTION

Once upon a time, a handsome young prince lived in a beautiful castle. Although, he has
everything his heart desires, the prince is selfish and unkind. He takes the village to fill the castle with its
most beautiful objects and his parties with the most beautiful people. And one night, an unexpected
intruder arrived in the castle, seeking shelter from the bitter storm. She offered the prince a single rose,
disgusted from her appearance, he turned the woman away. But she warned him not to be deceived by
appearances, for beauty is found within. When he dismissed her again, the old woman appearance
melted away and revealed a beautiful enchantress. The price begged for forgiveness but it was too late
because she could see that there’s no love in his heart. As a punishment, she transformed him into a
hideous beast and even his servants turned into a non-living things. The rose that she offered is truly an
enchanted rose. If he could land to love another and earns a love in return before the last petal fell, the
spell will be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time.

RISING ACTION

Belle’s father went to the beast’s castle to get a rose that her daughter asked for. When on his
way, he encountered a group of wolves, survived, and ended up near the castle. As he was picking the
rose, the beast showed up in front of him. The horse used by Belle’s father returned to the village to
inform Belle of what happened to his father. Belle went to the castle to save his father. As an exchange
for his father’s freedom, she should stay in the castle forever.

CLIMAX

When Belle tried to escape from the Beast, she came across the wolves waiting for their prey in
the forest. The beast saved her and brought her back to the castle. That was the time when Belle
realized that the Beast has a drop of kindness within his heart. As days pass by, they started to get along
well and even joke with each other. Belle managed to tame the Beast’s heart and fell for her. Gaston, an
arrogant man who likes Belle, heard the news that Belle has been captured by the Beast, he gathered
the villagers and went to the castle to save Belle.

FALLING ACTION

The Beast sent Belle back to their village for her father. Belle was trying explain that the Beast is
gentle and kind but the villagers and Gaston didn’t believe her and even said that she was under the
Beast’s spell. Gaston, together with the villagers went to the castle and was aiming to kill the Beast.

DENOUMENT

Gaston shot the Beast by a gun twice. The Beast died but came back to life with his real physical
appearance the moment Belle said “I love you”. All came back to normal and the two lived happily ever
after.
