Dear Vikan, and responsible consultant,

Project: Karm Allouz Hospital

Subject: design changing regarding bedlift guiderails 19NE2877.

Regarding the model changing of bedlift guiderails,

The changes done by the factory designers, is to improve the motion of the lifts with load of
1300 kg and above.
Regarding the car guiderails, noting that you are using an iron structure, the provided back
section of the rails will comply and fit hundred percent with the iron structure, and this can
minimize the vibration and the load on the structure.
In contrast to cabins, the CWT rails do not have to withstand horizontal forces (as occurring
on the car guide rails while loading and unloading.) they are definitely according to EN81.
And they comply with your request for the bedlift as they are anti corrosion.
That why this positive modification done by our development sector.
Please find attached the EN81-1 and the latest EN81-20, norms. In the EN81-1, the same
regulation is mentioned for the c/w guide rails, but different point number:

“10.2.3 Guide rails for counterweights or balancing weights may be made of formed metal
sheet. They shall be protected against corrosion”.

In my opinion, for the consultant in Syria, refer to EN81-1. Maybe they still don’t refer to the
latest version.

Also please refer to the factory calculation sheet which clearly identify and confirm that the
selected guiderails section is comply with the global norms of EN81 without any doubt.
Once again, the modification of our materials is to improve the motion of the lifts which our
customers are using all over the world, and we will keep studying and improving our
elevators to stay high ranked at the global market.

Best Regards
