In this evidence you are going to read an article about the way people around
the world spend their vacations. Then you have to do a description about the
way people spend their vacations in your country and answer the questions. /

Vacations around the world

Vacation time is a very important part in the life of all people in the world.
People from different cultures spend their vacations in different ways. The
number of vacation days ranges from 10 to 30, being the Europeans such as
Germans, French and Swede the luckiest for having 30 days of vacations; the
Latin American countries with a big number of vacation days are Brazil,
Panama and Peru with 25 days. The unluckiest country is China having just 10
days and being vacations not mandatory. Taking into account this aspect,
people can decide what to do and how to enjoy their vacations. Let’s see what
people from Germany, Brazil and China say about their future vacations.

What are you going to do in your next vacations?

Lauren Freudberger (Germany)

I want to visit some friends all along
Europe. First, I’m going to France to
visit my friend Jan Pierre in Lion, I’m
staying for a couple of weeks there.
Then I would like to go to Italy to visit
my cousin Florentina, I’m going to
Venice with her. Finally, I want to go

Well I’m planning to go to Rio and
spend a week there, I have my
girlfriend there and we are meeting
the first week. Then I want to know
Colombia. I haven’t been there and
my friend told me is a great
destination. Finally I am staying
home and rest for the last week

3. Which plan do you like the most and why?

The plan I like the most is LAUREN FREUDBERGER (GERMANY) because it
is very interesting all the time you have on your holidays, it is interesting all the
countries you are going to visit, I like it because you are going to know different
cultures and different foods and I love that you also travel to visit your family.
It is essential in the holidays to have good on time, to be able to know cultures
when going on a trip and that is what LAUREN does, know how to distribute the
time available to enjoy in the company of friends and family, i am interesting in
the amount of things you can do when you are organized over time and plan
your vacation.
I love Lauren's vacations as she distributes the time and the activities that she
will carry out with each one of the people she will be with, it is clear what she is
going to do and how she is going to do it.
I also like that you have the money you need to spend your holidays traveling in
Europe and this is an important factor when you go on a trip.

C. Write a short paragraph about how is the vacation time in your country.
Include information such as the typical number of days a person gets for
vacations, the most common activities people do, and the famous places
people visit. / Escriba un párrafo corto acerca de cómo son las vacaciones

persona tiene para vacaciones, las actividades más comunes que las
personas hacen, y los sitios famosos que la gente visita.

In Colombia, the number of vacation days is 15 business days.

In Colombia when you go on vacation the most common plan is to go to the beach. In
Colombia, vacation time is used to be with the family and to do activities together, such
as going on a trip, to eat, to a summer farm, exercise, enjoy the countryside, a party
and also meet friends.
On vacation it is very common to see people gathered with friends having a drink, in a
cafe, visiting different places or doing activities that can be done in the company of
friends.
In Colombia we have very nice places to visit and go on vacation. There are places for
all kinds of people. We have beautiful beaches such as Cartagena de Indias, San
Andres and Providencia Island, Santa Marta and Capurgana.
we have places for those who like to be in a desert such as the Tatacoa desert, we
have places for those who like to enjoy the city such as Medellin where there are any
variety of activities to do, or Cali where it is the capital of the sauce, rumba and flavor
everywhere.
We have the Amazon jungle a place for the most risky, we can enjoy the company of
monkeys, or swim in the Amazon river in the company of the beautiful pink dolphins.
