As you are aware, the coronavirus outbreak came to light on December 31, 2019. China informed the World
Health Organisation of a cluster of cases of pneumonia of an unknown cause in Wuhan City in Hubei province.
Subsequently the disease spread to more provinces of China and to the rest of the world, with the WHO declaring
it a global health emergency. The virus has been named SARS-CoV-2 and the disease is now called COVID-19.

1. CONTROL MEASURES THAT NEEDS TO BE INITIATED

1.1 A hand sanitizer should be placed at the billing area for anyone who enters the cafe.

1.2 All employees/food handlers are recommended to wash and sanitize their hands with soap
solutions.

1.3 All employees / Food delivery drivers should be screened for any symptoms, such as cold &
cough, high fever and any related symptoms. Anyone who is found with such symptoms
should not be allowed in the Cafe.

1.4 Do not entertain anybody cough & sneeze openly in the Cafe environment, food handlers
sneezing or coughing over the food is not acceptable.

1.5 Training should be provided to all employees on the prevention, per the WHO guidelines, as
follows:

• No Handshake & Hugs with all internal & external groups.

• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth: Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up
viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth.

• Maintain social distance of at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance between yourself and
anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

• Practice respiratory hygiene by covering your mouth and nose with 3ply mask (incase
if the person has cough & cold) when cough or sneeze.

1.6 Every food handler should be issued gloves to handle the products.

1.7 All equipment’s, work surfaces should be cleaned and sanitized at the beginning, in between the
work, and at the end of shift using Sumasol sanitizer available in the system.

1.8 Surfaces (e.g. desks, tables, equipment’s) and objects (e.g. telephones, keyboards, mobile and
utensils) should be wiped with disinfectant regularly and more frequently.

1.9 A special poster has been put up in several areas to further educate all personnel regarding the
COVID – 19

2. INTERIM POLICIES IMPLEMENTED

2.1 All travel outside the country should be prohibited.

2.2 All travel within the country should be limited to ONLY essential travel with approval.

2.3 The employees, visitors need to be of sound health and NOT have travelled to any high risk regions.

2.4 All employees should be mandated to stay home in case of illness, showing symptoms of cough,
cold, fever and related symptoms.

2.5 If a person who has remained absent from work due to illness, is required to get consent of “fit to
work” from a licensed medical practitioner.
