As I mentioned in Journal #9, I started adding my in-text citations and improving my

reference page on Friday. Since I have over 50 references, I was unable to finish this task on

Friday and I continued to do this on Monday. It may not be the most effective strategy to insert

the in-text citations after writing the content; however, I get very distracted while writing papers

so inserting them as I write would get me off the task at hand. On Monday, I also finished the

sections regarding the importance of non-clinical healthcare professionals and sociocultural

factors associated with grief.

On Tuesday, I emailed the updated version of my paper to Georgia College’s Writing

Center to receive feedback before submitting my research paper to my supervisor. I took time to

reread, revise, and edit my final draft of my research paper then make any corrections suggested

in the feedback from the Writing Center. Finally, I added a section to conclude my paper

regarding the importance of education and integration of nonclinical healthcare professionals. By

the end of the day, I submitted my final paper to my supervisor. This felt like a major

accomplishment and I was very excited because I have worked so hard on it throughout my

internship.

On Wednesday, I continued to develop my reflection paper that is due at the end of the

week. I have been improving my resume throughout this entire internship process because I have

simultaneously been applying to jobs in the metro Atlanta area. The Career Center has edited and

revised my resume a few times through Handshake. On Wednesday, I emailed my resume to the

Career center again in case I need to make any further adjustments. They suggested a few minor

improvements that made my resume look a lot better. Additionally, I submitted my final

discussion post for my undergraduate career, which was very exciting!

On Thursday, I finished writing and submitted my reflection paper. Then I responded to

my peers’ discussion posts. On Friday, I continued to develop my online portfolio, completed my

final evaluation, and submitted my journal for the week. I started to prepare for my mock

interview even though it is next week! Additionally, I had a virtual interview Friday morning so I

rewatched the Career Center’s video about interview tips to feel more prepared.
