CORONAVIRUS

PRAISE
Finally, brothers and sisters,

whatever is true, whatever is noble,

whatever is right, whatever is pure,

whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—

if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—

think about such things.

PHILIPPIANS 4:8

Praise God for His sovereignty and character.

Praise Him that He is victorious over the situation.

Praise Him that in Him, we can overcome and

have overcome. We stand in the gap for those

who have not experience the victory that He

brings.

PEACE
Do not be anxious about anything, but in

every situation, by prayer and petition, with

thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all

understanding, will guard your hearts and

your minds in Christ Jesus.

PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7

Pray for God’s peace upon the hearts of all

affected by this virus. Pray against fear in

believers and pre-believers alike. Take captive of

our thoughts and submit them to Christ. Turn our

fears and worries to intercession.

LOVE
But the Lord said, “You have been

concerned about this plant, though you did

not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up

overnight and died overnight. And should I

not have concern for the great city of

Nineveh, in which there are more than a

hundred and twenty thousand people who

cannot tell their right hand from their left—

and also many animals?”

JONAH 3:10-11

Pray for Christians around the world to see as

God sees and know His will in the situation, and to

do as Jesus would do. He died that we may live to

be deliverers of His message of hope, love and

truth to all who do not yet know Him.

REVIVAL
If my people, who are called by my name,

will humble themselves and pray and seek

my face and turn from their wicked ways,

then I will hear from heaven, and I will

forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 CHRONICLES 7:14

Pray for a revival of lives to know Christ as

Lord and Saviour through this situation,

starting from revival in Wuhan.

SOVEREIGN
So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran

into the midst of the assembly. The plague

had already started among the people,

 but Aaron offered the incense and made

atonement for them. He stood between

the living and the dead, and the plague

stopped.

NUMBERS 16:47-48

Stand in the gap for cities affected by the virus,

especially for Wuhan and the Hubei province.

Proclaim God's destiny for the city; that nothing

will thwart His plans and purposes for the city.

SALT & LIGHT


You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt

loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty

again? It is no longer good for anything,

except to be thrown out and trampled

underfoot.

You are the light of the world. A town built

on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do

people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.

Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives

light to everyone in the house.

In the same way, let your light shine before

others, that they may see your good deeds

and glorify your Father in heaven.

MATTHEW 5:13-16

Pray for Christians to be God’s hands and feet to

bring practical comfort and eternal hope. Pray for

the sick and help those in need, especially

vulnerable groups like elderly and children. Be His

ambassadors and His voice of truth and hope.

COMPASSION

Do to others as you would have

them do to you.

LUKE 6:31

Pray for kindness and compassion in the hearts of

man. Pray that Singapore will be a nation where

her people will arise and unite as one to care for

one another, regardless of nationality,

background, and culture.

HEALING
If you have faith as small as a mustard

seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move

from here to there,’ and it will move.

Nothing will be impossible for you.

MATTHEW 17:20

Pray for the virus to stop spreading and for those

who are unwell to be healed.

COMFORT
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and

saves those who are crushed in spirit.

PSALM 34:18

Pray for God's comfort to be upon the families of

those who are unwell, and the families who have

lost loved ones to the virus.

PROTECTION
He will cover you with His feathers,

and under his wings you will find refuge;

His faithfulness will be your shield and

rampart.

You will not fear the terror of night,

nor the arrow that flies by day,

nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,

nor the plague that destroys at midday.

PSALM 91:4-6

Pray for God’s hand upon the medical sector who

are finding a cure or vaccine for the virus.

Pray tor doctors and nurses who are helping the

sick to be strengthened and protected.

WISDOM
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions,

prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be

made for all people—for kings and all those

in authority, that we may live peaceful and

quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This

is good, and pleases God our Saviour.

1 TIMOTHY 2:1-3

Pray that the government agencies in Singapore

and the nations affected will have wisdom and

skill in containing the epidemic.

PROVISION
Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will

give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will

give him a snake? If you, then, though you

are evil, know how to give good gifts to your

children, how much more will your Father in

heaven give good gifts to those who ask him.

MATTHEW 7:9-11

Pray for those whose livelihood are affected by

this situation that they will experience God's

provision through His people.
