Sarah Breedlove was born in Louisiana in 1867. United States. United States.
Later, in 1874, the parents die. After that she started working in the cotton fields,
then she married Moses Mc William in 1881 and during their marriage their only
daughter Leila was born in 1885.
Her husband died in 1887, after that she worked washing clothes.That in 1890, for
different reasons, she lost part of her hair. After this she began to develop new hair
care products, during which she changed her name to Madame CJ Walker in 1905.
Three years later a training college opened in Pittsburgh in 1908.
In 1910 she built a factory in Indianapolis, so after a few years she helped by giving
money to African Americans in 1916.Died in New York State in 1919, she was
considered the richest African American woman in the world.
