My grandparents

When I was kid, I visited a lot to my grandmothers, it’s because my mother worked near to
my grandmother house, I spent a lot of time there, she gave me money to go to the store
and I loved to watch cartoons on the tv, but my grandfather preferred to give me books and
at that time was when I started to read, I remember that he gave me the book called “The
man who counted” by the way ,my grandfather was a math professor, painter and also loves
to read, he also wrote a book of short stories, so he always wanted that I get into the reading
and into the maths, and the end I read a lot, I read “Guayacan” by Virgilio Rodríguez, and
all the stuff, also I was very bad at maths so he taught me a lot, I was bad at algebra but he
didn´t care about it and taught me, so at the end of that year I was not really good at algebra,
but I got a decent grades, and maybe read like ten books or something like that, as I
mentioned he also was a painter, he used to paint in oil, I think that was a really hard
technique to paint in oil, so at my vacations of that year I asked him if he can teach me how
to draw not paint because it looks hard to me, so he accepted, and we started at October,
at the beginning he just put me to drew circles, I drew a lot of circles, he told me that draw
circles helps a lot to develop technique in my hand also a circle is the main structure of a lot
of drawings, so I agreed but I was on the third week and I didn´t know nothing of how to
draw and just was drawing circles, so I tried to quit, but instead of let me go, he started to
teach me other stuff, like how you manage the perspectives and also how to see the light
on the drawings, right now I´m not a really good drawer, but I still try, also I didn’t stop of
draw circles because is really helpful if you want to be a good drawer(I realized about that
too late xd), like two years ago I bought a tablet to draw, it´s really helpful with the painting,
because I am not really good at painting but the software’s helps a lot.
