This movie was directed by Jason Reitman and written by Diablo Cody. It is a
PG-13 movie belonging to the comedy and drama genre.
It all starts with a teenager named Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page) who discovers
an unplanned pregancy at the age of sixteen, there is only one person she
could be pregnant of, her and longtime admirer, Paulie Bleeker, so she tells
him she is pregnant but she is considering an abortion, but on that day a
variety of factors lead Juno to regret her decision and change her mind, so
she plans to give the baby up for adoption. She finds the couple she considers
perfect to adopt her baby, Mark and Vanessa Loring. Afterwards, Mark
confesses that he is not ready to be a father yet and they get divorced, but
Juno tells Vanessa that if the she still wants the baby it´s hers.
Overall, I consider this film a great movie, it includes many modern
conversations about abortion and the presentation of other options besides
abortion, like adoption; it embraces all the different points of view a person
can have about an unexpected pregnancy. Lastly, it demonstrates how it is
okay to be a single mother.
