During the design phase of your WiFi deployment, there are general questions that will be asked about your projected
wireless environment. Review the questions below to get a better understanding of your project’s requirements.

Has a site survey ever been performed in the past?

Are blueprints, floor plans, or any other site-specific documentation available?

How many wireless mobile devices and users will be using the wireless network?

What are the bandwidth and capacity requirements?

Will guest access be required?

Is there any preference for a specific manufacturer’s equipment?

What is the coverage area?

Is an existing wireless network in place?

Are there any known areas of RF interference?

Are there any known areas that may lack RF coverage?

What type of applications will be used?

Will VoWi-Fi or other real-time applications that require QoS be used?

Is wireless transition (roaming) required?

Is PoE required?

What are the wireless security requirements?

Will an escort and ID badge be required?
