ABSTRACT

Electricity makes a major contribution to living standards in every home or

building. Lighting design is fundamental to the success of any building. Light is one
of the building materials and reflected from a structure's surfaces and edges, it
provides for the information upon the functions. It is light that can make a building
bright and airy or dull and gloomy; it is light that enables us to perform the work, and
without it, it is impossible to work in the building. There are many buildings in which
the electrical installation is inadequate to meet the demand made upon it and, in many
instances, modernization is urgently needed to handle the increases in electrical usage,
however, people have to economize in consumption of electrical energy. All interior
wiring should be attached to interior surfaces of the building and not concealed within
wall cavities, ceilings, or attic spaces. Wiring is the method of drawing or laying
wires or cables and connecting accessories and fitting for the purpose of distributing
electrical power to the various points or requirements from the main. The main aim of
this thesis is to know estimation for Two-storey Building and it is important to receive
required light. In this thesis, the selection of the light sources, circuit breakers size and
wire size calculation the estimating of electrical installation for Two-storey Building
are described.
