"Do We Want Anyone to go to Hell?

"
Ps. 9:17
INTRO. We talk so many times about our desire to see the lost come to the
saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, but when it comes to the
actual footwork involved, I believe we are all lacking. We seem to
think that the responsibility of witnessing should fall on someone
else besides us. Oh, that's the preacher's job or maybe we think if we
wait long enough someone else will carry the load for us.
Jesus set the example for us while here on earth during his ministry.
In John 9:4, Jesus says, "I must work the works of Him that sent me,
while it is day: The night cometh, when no man can work." He tells us
that while we have opportunity we must work for God. Part of that
work involves witnessing. The Great Commission requires all of us in
His Churches to evangelize this World.
We all know someone who is lost. Are we doing all we can to win
them to Christ? If we neglect our responsibility to the Lost, then they
will spend an eternity in Hell. The Lord is giving us ample time and
opportunity to win all we can. Are we winning all we can?
Do we want anyone to go to Hell? In Ezekiel 33, the Lord tells
Ezekiel that He has set him a watchman over the house of Israel to
warn them of Judgment to come. I believe, in the same manner,
Christ has set us, His people, a watchman over this lost and dying
world. If we fail to warn them, the Scripture says that God will
require their blood at our hand! Do we want anyone to go to Hell??
Hell is:
(1) A Place of Torment
Matt. 25:46
Luke 16:23-26
(2) A Place of Darkness
Matt. 25:30
(3) A Place Prepared For The Devil And His Angels
Matt. 25:41
(4) A Place God Doesn't Want Anyone To Go
2 Peter 3:9
(5) A Place of Eternal Separation From God And Loved Ones
2 Thess. 1:7-9
Rev. 20:10-15; 21:7, 8
Closing: Our time we have here is short, we don't know what will be the
morrow. We must share Christ with others, because we don't want
anyone to go to Hell!
