1.

NAME

The name of the welfare scheme shall be “WILSON ABUSUA

2. AIMS & OBJECTIVES


a. To promote solidarity and mutual cooperation among members.

b. To assist and support members on the following occasions:

i. The death of a member.


ii. The death of a member's spouse, parent and
child.
iii. The marriage of a member.
iv. Naming ceremony of a member’s child
v. The event of an accident of a member.
v. The permanent disability of a member.
vi. The event of serious ailment of a member (including surgical operation).

a. Until otherwise agreed upon, every member shall contribute an amount of


Hundred Ghana Cedi (GHC¢100.00) each month as dues. The amount can
however be increased as and when the need arises. This shall be determined by
the entire group at the beginning of the year. The constitution allows any
member who wishes to pay for the whole year or a certain number of
accumulated months in advance to do so.

3. ADMINISTRATION
I. The Scheme shall be administered by an three (3) member executive. This shall comprise
of:
a) Chairperson - Derek Sampah
b) Financial Secretary - SLYVESTER WILSON

II. Two trustees - ANTHONY RULE & KWAME APPIAH BEKOE

4. FINANCE
a) Accounts
i. The Scheme shall operate at least one current account with a
recognized commercial bank.

ii. The scheme shall have at least one registered phone number for the
purpose of mobile money transactions.

b) Signatories and Mandate


There shall be three (3) signatories to the scheme’s account. These are:

The mandate required for withdrawal from the bank shall be two signatories.

c) Audit
Accounts of the scheme shall be audited at the end of each financial year. An
audit team of not more than three members of the house other than the trustees
shall be appointed to audit the accounts.
a. The House within the first month of the year.

4. DONATIONS
a) Only members who have contributed to the Scheme shall be eligible for
donations.
b) Members shall begin to enjoy the full benefits three (3) months after the
coming into force of this constitution.

C) To become a beneficiary, the member shall inform the house through the
executive of the event at hand. The necessary procedure shall be followed for
disbursement.

10. BENEFITS

a. MARRIAGE:
i. Only One (1) marriage (Traditional or White wedding) shall be
recognized.
ii. The invitation should reach the executives at least a month to the event.
iii. A cash donation of GH¢1000.00 shall be made on behalf of the group.

b. NAMING CEREMONY

A member is entitled to an amount of GHC 500 for the naming ceremony of


One (1) child only.

c. BEREAVEMENT
i. A member who is bereaved shall send an invitation or write formally to inform
the executives at least a month to the funeral.
ii. Funerals that shall concern the Scheme are:
iii. A cash donation of GH¢1000.00 shall be made on behalf of the Scheme in the
event of the demise of the following:

d. ACCIDENTS
i. The permanent disability of a member- GH¢1000.00
ii. The event of serious ailment of a member which has him/her hospitalized
for more than twenty-five (25) days (including surgical operation) with the
exception of Cesarean section. - GH¢1000.00.
