4. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE PRESENTATION STAGE

Stage 3. Presentation: 20 – 30 mins. (T-60/S-40)

This is the teaching stage. New information is presented at this point. A new
objective is usually taught in every class, but sometimes objectives are carried out
over two or three sessions due to syllabus design or material covered, with each
class focusing on a different point.
The new academic information presented at this stage is teacher-guided but not
100% teacher-centred.
Provide students with relevant examples both aurally and visually. Remember that
most of our students are visual learners. Use visual aids, mime, flashcards and
posters to help your students learn faster.
