and you have been asked to provide a personal reference. Write a letter to the director of the
company saying how long you have known him/her and reporting what other colleagues have said
about him/her. Also explain why your friend would be suitable for the job.

Read the information in the infographic "The Staggering Cost of a Bad Hire" on pages 5 and 6. Then
write a short (150 word) article for your company's magazine.

i) focus on the two most interesting points / pieces of information, and

ii) express your own views on how the company can attract the best people to come and work
for it.
