What is my project What am I going to do? (50 words)

about?  Raise awareness on how mental illness in youth is a real issue that is easily overlooked by the community
Address the issue at hand and how to help youth with mental illness as well as publicise the different outlets that
youth can go to for therapy et cetera. Drive across the point that mental illness is an issue that should be talked about
and discussed, hence destigmatising it.
How am I going to do it? (100 words)
 I will launch a campaign, to raise awareness about how this is a real issue that people should
be educated about. I will design a survey regarding mental illness that will help me to collect ra
regarding this topic. After which, I will analyse and represent the data in the form of visuals an
put up posters/flyers and publish it on social media to show the data collected and put across th
youth is often ignored, laughed off and even regarded as “ a phase “ that they will grow out of,
when it is in fact a real illness that should be treated and taken seriously.

This cause and topic is meaningful to me because I have lost a beloved family member to this cruel illness and even
project? we experienced taking care of someone with mental illness (Major depressive disorder) we did not understand
some of the mannerisms that should have been observed and even some of the behaviour of our loved one and it wa
