Alexion is seeking a highly motivated Manager with solid experience in applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze
financial information, prepare accurate and timely results and to ensure appropriate account control procedures. This position will be a key
member of a cross-functional, multi-national accounting team responsible for critical accounting areas including revenue recognition, inventory
and COGS accounting, corporate & business accruals and accounting technical research across the European and Asia Pacific regions. This
position will have significant interaction with Alexion business leaders, senior accounting management and global accounting teams.

Specifically, we are seeking an individual with the traits listed below:

levels of personnel

Principal Responsibilities

Support Controllership activities for US GAAP month end close on specific EMEA entities including account analysis & reconciliation,
preparing/reviewing inputs to month end reports including financial analysis & commentary

Approve balance sheet account reconciliations and follow up & resolve reconciling items in a timely manner

Manage shared services to ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting services provided

Oversee and validate monthly revenue accounting

Assist with integration of acquisition activity, including inventory accounting

Support on Board Reporting packs as required for quarterly meetings

Work closely with Finance colleagues both locally and globally, adhering to global deadlines

Ensure the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data

Ensure accounting compliance with US GAAP and local GAAP accounting principles

Liaise with local statutory and tax accountants as required

Support wider Controllership team on ad hoc projects

Liaise with local market finance on financial results for their area of responsibility

Operate or support with SOX related activities

Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and queries

Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to drive system and process improvements for the month end closing cycle

Qualifications

Qualified chartered accountant (CA, ACA, CPA, etc.)

Big four accounting background preferred, with experience of public company clients

Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in a global company, preferably US multinational

Shared Services experience a plus

Experience working in biotech or pharma industry very desirable

Knowledge of SAP a plus

Proficiency in Excel

Fluency in a European language (French, Spanish, German, Italian) a plus

US GAAP knowledge preferred

Education

Degree in Accounting or equivalent
