Equipment setup

1. Measure and record the mass of ponton, mp (kg) and the adjustable mass, m (kg).
2. Measure and record the width, b (m) and length, l (m) of ponton.
3. Place the adjustable mass at the center (set point = 0 cm) of the scale.
4. Measure the volume water displaced, V(m3).

Taking a set of result

1. Place the sliding mass at the bottom mast, and measure and record the height.
2. Slide the adjustable mass from the right to center with 6 increment and record the
angle change for each increment.
3. Slide the adjustable mass from the left to center with 6 increment and record the
angle change for each increment.
4. Repeat the step 2 and 3 with 2 different height 5 cm and 10 cm.
