Sara went shopping

Sara Smith, a Pasadena resident, went shopping. She is 30, and has lived at 3037
N. Foothill Street since 1992. Sara has been married to John for seven years. They
have two children; Bob is five years old and Nancy is three. Sara owns a 1995
four-door blue Toyola. At 9 a.m., Sara got into her car and drove to Barget, a
department store a mile away.
Barget was having a holiday sale. Sara bought a four-slice toaster for $29.95 plus
tax. The regular price was $39.95. She paid by check. On her way home, Sara
stopped at MilkPlus to buy a gallon of nonfat milk. The milk was $3.50. Sara got 50
cents back in change.
Sara arrived home at 10 a.m. John and the kids were still sleeping. She woke them
up and then made a hot and nutritious breakfast for everyone.

Sherlock Holmes - Elementary Dear Watson

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go on a camping trip, set up their tent, and fall asleep.
Some hours later, Holmes wakes his faithful friend.
'Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.'
Watson replies, 'I see millions of stars.'
'What does that tell you?'
Watson ponders for a minute.' Astronomically speaking, it tells me that there are millions of
galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo.
Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three. Theologically, it's evident
the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we
will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What does it tell you?
Holmes is silent for a moment, and then speaks. 'Watson, you idiot, someone has stolen
our tent.'

Mail / Male Order?

Two Irish men, Kearney and O'Riordan were looking at a Mail order catalogue and
admiring the models. Kearney remarks to O'Riordan, 'Have you seen the beautiful girls in
this catalogue?'
O'Riordan replies, 'Yes, they are very beautiful. And look at the price.'
Kearney says, with wide eyes, 'Wow, they aren't very expensive. At this price, I'm buying
one.'
O'Riordan, smiles and pats him on the back. 'Good idea. Order one and if she's as
beautiful as she is in the catalogue, I will get one too.'
Three weeks later, Kearney, the youngest of the two asks his friend, O'Rordan, 'Did you
ever receive the girl you ordered from that catalogue?'
O'Riordan replies with a glint in his eye, 'No, but it shouldn't be long now. She sent all her
clothes yesterday.'

Funny True Fishy Story

Tish, the world's oldest known goldfish, was 43. In later life, Tish faded from his natural
bright orange to a more distinguished silver. His owner said the secret of Tish's long life
was not being overfed and being placed in the sun occasionally.

He was won at a funfair in Doncaster in 1956 and buried in a yoghurt pot in the garden of
his owner's garden in Thirsk, Yorkshire, England in 1999.
