Huancayo is the capital city of the Junín region, in central Peru.

The Huancayo Cathedral, in


neoclassical style, overlooks the native plants of the “Plaza de la Constitución”, in the center of the
city. It is not the largest but has a considerable area of 319.4 km² the dishes are very exquisite,
such as, "Papa a la Huancaína", "Pachamanca" "Chupe Verde" (green soup), etc. Its population is
around 456,250 inhabitants
