Conveyor Belt Tension Adjustment

- Adjust Lectro-Treat tunnel conveyor belt for proper operation and belt wear.
- Adjustment Procedure should take about 10 minutes
- Lockout Power before making this adjustment (use plant lockout procedure)
- Tools Needed:
7/8” End wrench or Adjustable wrench
5/32” Hex wrench

Adjustment Overview Guard

Remove the parts in extension guard to

access the conveyor belt. Use the two Tension
tension adjustment bolts at the lower corners adjustment bolts
for belt tension. When installing a new belt, it
may need several adjustments over several
days until the belt has taken a set.
Reinstall the guards and watch for proper
tracking, readjust if necessary.

Tension Setting
Adjustment
Use the either of the two lower adjustment
bolts, turn clockwise to tighten the conveyor
belt. If you run out of adjustment, links may be
taken out of the conveyor belt to increase
tension. Check belt here
The belt should be tensioned to allow a for 1” to 2”
deflection of 2” inches with a firm push in the deflection.

The LT must be put back in the same condition it was in prior to this procedure.
