Summarizing things people say
You can summarize the things people say to show you're involved in the conversation and are
following what they're saying:

A My sister likes to read. She likes music. She likes to cook, sew . . .
B She seems to have a lot of different interests.

Now
In conversation, you can use Now to introduce a follow-up question. It shows that you want to
move the conversation on to a different aspect of a topic:

A She doesn't really need anything.


B Now, doesn't she travel a lot?
