University of Baguio Renews its MSDN

Academic Alliance with Microsoft

The University of Baguio, through the efforts of the MIS Department

renewed its academic alliance with Microsoft. The Alliance provided the
University with an MSDN AA subscription that includes an almost unlimited use
of Microsoft platform, servers, and developer tools software.

What is MSDN Academic Alliance?

Teh MSDN Academic Alliance is an annual membership program for technical

departments in the area of Computer Science, Engineering, and Information
Systems. As a member, a department recieves an MSDN AA subscription that
includes Microsoft platforms, servers, and developer tools software. These
softwares maybe installed on any number of departmental lab machines. The
software must be used for instructional and research purposes; it may not be
used to run the infrastructures of the department. In addition, the
department’s faculty and students may check-out or download the software to
install on their personal computers.

What are the products included in the MSDN Academic Alliance Program?

The agreement includes a wide aray of products that includes Microsoft’s

latest oprating systems, programing languages and other developmental tools,
and a few productivity tols. The following is the complete list of software
