The Eiffel Tower was built between 1887 and 1889 to
celebrate the World's Fair that commemorated the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. It was opened to visitors on May 6, 1889.
The Eiffel Tower is an iron structure built by the french
engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 universal exhibition in Paris. It is located in the Sena river bank in Paris and is the tallest monument of the city. It took two years, two months and five days to build the Eiffel tower and they have to paint the tower. The maintenance of the tower includes the application of 60 tons of paint every seven years to avoid rusting.
