(Notification sound – background/ typing sound)

Camera on the mother filtering tea- “chaha galun thevte aahe thanda honya adhi piyun ghe”
Pan shot- follow mother, keeping the tea on the table
Boy not paying much attention busy with his chat (girlfriend) –text – “alone at home wanna
come? gharwale bahar jaare hai, im not going”
Gf – “finally yay! be there till 7:20pm”
Boy –“done, I’ll be waiting”
Camera on the texts
(Meanwhile mother’s voice in background – “me chaliiye baba kahli alet, yete jaun, 2-3 tasat
yete, gharacha laksh thev ani konhala pan dar ugdhu nako”
Boy-“ho kalji karu noko, tumhi jaun ya bye”
Mother - “chal mag bye”
Door closes (2s pause then cut); Film title display 2s)
Scene 2
Boy turns on the television, camera on television showing ‘bad signal’ again camera at boy
disappointed. Passes his time on the phone ‘battery low notification’.
Checks the clock – 7:30. Texts his gf - “where are you?” puts his phone on the charge, makes
maggi (camera placement while making maggi is to be improvised) eats maggi in about 10-15s.
(clock shot – 8:00pm, checks the phone ‘chat not delivered just sent’, disappointed; calls her but
phone is not under network coverage.)
Scene 3
Looks at the tube light (bored, thinking what to do); (makes faces, admires in the mirror. Acts
funny 30s); loses hope, calls friends – “number you’ve dialled is not reachable’, second call to
another friend- “sorry yaar bahar hu aaj, kal milta hu” boy- “thike bye.” Bored face, watches
adult content (earphones-background sounds); bell rings (in a hope, opens the door enthu. Aunty
asking for his mother, tells her that she’s not at home currently stop by later.) now the mood has
been disturbed.
Scene 4
Camera on the exhaust in bathroom, smokes cigarette and throws out smoke from there, pan shot
bottom to up standing on the pot, holding a burning cigarette.
Looks in the camera disappointed, and changes viewing angle in 3s. Holds a book but puts it
away immediately as no mood for reading. Closes his eyes (on the bed lying with one hand on his
head)
(hears a bell – parents enter, camera only on the boy from behind fridge or dining table (parents
not visible)); mother – “are tula yeila pahije hota tujhya avdi cha hota sagla gulabjamun, paneer
vagera ani sagle vicharat hote kuthay X? asa, jaude kay kela yeudhya vel?”
Boy - “kahi nahi thoda tv bagithla, maggi khali karun bas aram thoda, alo tham”; boy checks his
whatsapp the messages are still not delivered. Mother calls- “ikde yena photo bagh ajche” ;
Boy- “alo!” (now camera on chat- the chats become read –blue in color- typing- “sorry babe
could not make it today. Im at a family function, I’ll meet you tomorrow, bye ly ”)
