Topic:
Three realms that require good leaders are countries, businesses, and schools. Please select one
of these areas and articulate the most important characteristics of a leader in this field. Please
explain why these are important through examples and details.

Thesis statement: ​One of the most important characteristics that the leader of the country should
have is leadership. There are many situations that need this qualification to solve.
Body Paragraphs
Topic sentence 1: ​Great leader needs to lead people and country with a ​strong vision for the
country's future.
Details :
​ To lead the country, ​the leadership vision was powerful because it motivates and inspires
people to engage with it. With a strong vision, it will lead you to work on what is important to
achieve the most important results and not get caught up in the unnecessary thing.The leaders with
the strong vision can lead the country w​ith a democratic, supportive, transparent state which create
equal opportunities and social development for their citizens.These development will create the
environmentally and economically sustainable for the​ ​country, along with more levels of legal and
security​. As a famous political activist said, “A leader has the vision and conviction that a dream
can be achieved. He inspires the power and energy to get it done” (Ralph Nader, 2014, p.67).

Topic sentence 2: ​The leader should have ​decision making capabilit​y.

Details :
​In order to empower and develop the country in an effective way, the leaders need to have the
right decision at the right time. Research has found that “leaders are always the drive and captain
in the organization. Constant, clear, and quality leadership is necessary for success”, which I agree
with (Nichodemus Obioma Ejimabo, 2015, p.7). The leaders should create the parameters to
determine the information gathering and be aware of the personal emotions that come up during
decision making. The decision of the country’s leaders has a great impact on the citizens, so they
have to estimate the level of risks on every option based on information. In case of unexpected
situations, the leaders also need to have the smart aptitude to solve the outcome and make the
best of it.

Topic sentence 3: ​To cooperate with people, the leader should have emotional intelligence.
Details :
In addition to the leader’s working capability, they need to have an understanding of people to
effectively motivate, challenge the goal, inspire, gain trust, and connect with others. The famous
authors Daniel Goleman stated that, “​To connect with the kind of vision that can move a culture
toward resonance, emotionally intelligent leaders start by looking inside at what they feel, think,
and sense about their organizations​” (Daniel Goleman, 2001, p.205). This is why emotional is so
important. The leaders are the one who needs a great influence on people to accept and support
the country’s achievement. The leaders who have high emotional intelligence such as persuade
communication and emphasizing will gain supportive and harmonious relationships from both
organizations and citizens. From my experience, the leaders who are low in emotional intelligence
tend to make stressful situations because they fail to handle their own emotions and this might
create verbal attacks on others. It creates an even more stressful environment, which also disrupts
the working situation.

​In conclusion, leaders play a significant role in shaping the country’s living conditions. The most
important characteristic of a leader is leadership, because they need to have a strong vision and
capability of making a decision to lead the country in the right way. However, gaining supportive
cooperation is an important factor for the management, so the leaders need to have the emotional
intelligence to understand their citizens.

Final Thought:
To be the country’s leader, having the leadership characteristics is one of the most important
qualities that needed to concern. Because if the person who should not be in that position takes
control, it means that the country is risking the untrustworthy situation.

In today’s developing country, the leader has an important role in shaping our nations,
communities, and organizations. We need a good leader to lead us and make the principal
large-scale decisions that keep the country moving. ​One of the most important characteristics that
the leader of the country should have is leadership. There are many situations that need this
qualification to solve.

Great leader needs to lead people and country with a ​strong vision for the country's future. ​To
