Attaching the compressor
MC 661 8. Remove the engine cover to facilitate attachment.
Loosen the screw 1 and remove the stop bracket 2.

MC 664 11. Attach the eyelet and tensioner to the bracket.

the belts 2 can be removed.

16. Attach the V-belt to the compressor and refit the other belts.
Adjust the tensioner on the bracket until the desired belt ten-
sion is obtained.

Attaching the evaporator
MC 405 20. Loosen the screws for the lid 1,2 and 3 behind the driver’s
seat.
Remove the cover.

21. Remove the screws and nuts 1 (4) and the screws 2 (4).
MC 406 Then remove the cover 3 for the climate box.

MC 408 23. Place the insert with the holes facing upward and forward in
the bottom of the climate box.

24. Attach the expansion valve and o-ring to the evaporator.

gle it approx. 30° from the expansion valve.

its screws.
Insert the grommet in the box’s cover and stick the tempera-
ture selector’s sensor, without the plastic hose, 150 mm into
the box.
Clamp any excess sensors.

trol arm forward and backward for adjusting before attaching
the clamp.

Connect the cable 1 with the cables marked 1810 and 3101
for the temperature selector.
The cable is lying loosely in the space under the driver’s seat.

38. Drill 2 holes ø5, 20mm in from the edge of the sheet metal
edge.

MC 680 40. Connect the hose 1 from the condenser and attach the hose
2 so that its service nipple is nearest the evaporator connec-
tion.
Clamp the hoses in a suitable manner.

in front of the main valve body.
Route the hose between the compressor and the evaporator
through the engine compartment.
Check that the hoses reach their connections and clamp
them in a suitable manner.

If possible, delay this phase until after you have looked for
any leaks.
Then replace the covers behind the driver’s seat.
