Suitable for Connecting Tachometer - 3 Pin Plug

This standard unit has a built in voltage regulator. It can also be supplied with the
molded 3 pin connector plug as shown.

 The White lead terminal dedicated to the Tachometer connects to the TAD Gray
lead.
 Yellow lead for excitation connects to a TAD blue with white stripe. It also
incorporates external diode for added reliability.
 The Red lead connects directly to the Alternators Main Output Terminal.

When ordering, let us know which model engine you have so we can configure with
appropriate pulley size to accommodate ½” or 3/8” belt. Case rotated for correctly
positioned mounting and terminal access.

Not Suitable for Connecting Tachometer - 2 Pin Plug
This standard unit has a built in voltage regulator. It can also be supplied with the
molded 2 pin connector plug as shown below.

 Shown below with 2 terminal modular plug.

 Yellow lead for excitation which connects to the blue with white stripe lead for
excitation if being coupled to a TAD Gauge panel, it also incorporates external
diode for added reliability.
 The Red lead connects directly to the Alternators Main Output Terminal.
 If you wish to connect a tachometer, the unit shown above with 3 pin plug
should be selected.

(Note: this unit is sometimes supplied with an aftermarket gray wire connected
internally for connecting electric tac.)
