I wrote this booklet because of the habits I see my
clients exhibit…especially procrastinators.

Here’s what you need to know before reading this

booklet…

The brain is hard-wired to add value.

Value is delivered to us through our thoughts.
Our thoughts become habit.
And each habit is determined by our choices.
The choices dictate the behavior.
And behavior leads to our results and outcomes.

What we value is how we behave.

Onward…

Clear your desk. Clear your mind. Organize it.

Tip #1
Habits are about a relationship with yourself.

Tip #2
Changing non-serving habits can improve your
relationships, overturn roadblocks, balance your point of
view, help you enjoy life more, and…oh yes…overcome
procrastination tendencies.
Tip #3
It’s not about trying to ‘hype’ your brain. Because hype
doesn’t add value.

Tip #4
The brain is hard-wired to add value…so it’s a no-go.

Tip #5
Hype sounds like…’just believe’, create a ‘positive mental attitude’, ‘feel
the pain and do it anyway’.

Tip #6
There are 6 distinct areas of internal value that include… your
relationship with others, with yourself, your productivity, balance
and happiness, problem solving, meaning and purpose.

Tip #7
Your relationship with yourself is about integrity, confidence, being
valiant, peaceful, deliberate and unconditional and how you value
these things.
Tip#8
Value is determined by our thoughts.

Tip #9
Thoughts can enrich or derail us. More accurate, they hijack you.

Tip #10
There are 7 distinct areas in which thoughts can hijack you.

Tip #11
Here are the 7 topics that are most sabotaged by our thoughts:
Discipline, resourcefulness, productivity, analysis, gratefulness,
confidence and goal orientation

Tip #12
It’s good to remember the Buddhist saying…
“Don’t believe everything you think.”

Tip #13
Just remember, you have the power to choose your thoughts.

Tip #14
Thoughts create habits.

Tip #15
Habits are formed because they now what’s coming and they like the
path of least resistance.
Tip #16
According to Charles Duhigg’s book, The Power of Habit, a habit has 3
parts. Read on…

3 Parts of a habit

Tip #17 Tip #18 Tip #19

The cue… The routine… The reward…

It starts the habit? something you want or even it satisfies the craving
crave

Tip #20
Now that you know the path, it’s time to change your choice.
Easier said than done because the choice doesn’t work if you
don’t value it.

Tip #21
It doesn’t have to be hard. You just have to shift your thought.

Tip #22
If you’re a procrastinator, you may be valuing the easy thing,
rather than the deeper, more meaningful thing. Aha…

Tip #23
Your choice, at this juncture, is what determines your next step
and over time this determines your day-to-day behavior.
AKA…your habit.

Tip #24
Shift your thought to something you value more. For example, not
working weekends, spending more time with your family and friends,
doing something you routinely love, less stress, improved life…all
those rewarding, valuable things.

Tip #25
Shift the thought to bring more value to your choice and it creates this
creates a habit that brings you results you never dreamed of…you’re
happier with how you spend your time because you’re more engaged
in life.
And isn’t that what it’s all about?

Changing a habit that doesn’t serve you is never easy…

but it’s always worth it.
