5 MUST HAVE TOOLS

to start
WORKING FROM HOME

01 Computer - you MUST have a computer to start working

from home. You can’t use a mobile phone or tablet (iPad
or Android) in order to get work done. Our
recommendation is to get a desktop/laptop with at least
4GB of RAM, 128GB of disk space and with either an i3,
i5, or i7 processor (or equivalent).

02 Internet – without internet, you won’t be able to get ANY

work done at all. The speed of your internet connection
will also determine HOW MUCH work you can get done in
an hour and if you can do more work, the higher you will
get paid! We recommend at least a 5Mbps connection but
some people also get by with a 3Mbps connection or
sometimes even pocket wifi (not recommended).

PROTIP: What some other people do while they don’t have a computer or internet yet is start
applying for work in internet cafes until they earn enough money to afford a computer and internet.

03 Headset – Most of the time, clients will want to interview

you and you MUST be able to talk to them. Most laptops
have a built-in microphone, but it’s usually very low quality
and will pick up a lot of noise. Any kind of headset is better
than the built-in microphone. You can even use your
Android phone or iPhone headphones and that will be good
enough for most cases (or you can buy a mobile phone
headset in the malls). If you plan on taking calls from home,
you’ll need a better headset such as a Logitech or
Plantronics.

04 Webcam - Not all clients will want to do a video conference

with you but some might. In that case, a webcam is always
useful. If you buy a new laptop, you can use the built-in
webcam. You don’t need high quality video if a client wants
to interview you or do a video conference. However, not all
computers have built-in webcams. If you need to purchase
a webcam, you can just get a cheap one from CDR King or
Lazada. Video isn’t as important as audio.

05 Skills – This isn’t really a tool, but it’s very important you to
have some skills in order to get hired from home. As you’re
taking the FREE VA course, you’ll learn more about the
skills you need to learn. Watch YouTube videos, enroll in
FREE and Paid courses, and continuously educate
yourself. When you’re working online, you have to keep
learning new things or else clients won’t want to hire you. (I
learn new things every day even though I’ve been doing
this for almost 8 years).
