#1 Ingredients:

 ½ c baking soda (you can use less when starting out if it irritates you)
 ½ c arrowroot powder (you can also use cornstarch, but I prefer arrowroot powder)
 5 T unrefined organic coconut oil (or kokum butter)
 20 drops of grapefruit essential oil (or another essential oil with antibacterial properties)
#1 Instructions:
 Mix baking soda and arrowroot together.
 Next add the coconut and essential oils and mix well.
 Pour into air-tight 125 mL jar (deodorant will last 3-6 months in an airtight container.)

Coconut oil was difficult to remove from clothing, used kokum butter. It absorbs quicker and
doesn’t leave a grease feel.
Scent recommendations: Female oils scents: lavender, lemon and sage. Male oils scents:
cypress, rosemary and bergamot.
Arrowroot doesn’t have the same antibacterial qualities of baking soda. If you omit the baking
soda, don’t skip the essential oils.
Note: If too cool/stiff, store it by the shower and allow the steam to warm it before applying. If
too warm/runny, store it in a cooler pantry to thicken it up.
