Too smart to fail, doing most, if not all, of the work in a supposed group effort,
and is always expected to excel even in the area they’re not proficient of – these are
just three of the many struggles that grade conscious students face. And my say, as a
fellow student, this must be minimized.

Most of the students in every school sacrificed their sleep, meals, and time just for the
sake of grades, and a number of them were driven to madness by it. Though living up
to your potential and aspire ourselves to do our best under the circumstances is
imperative, pushing yourself too hard might implicate your health.

In an online article written by Joseph Holtgreive, a pattern of thinking revealed an

explanation as to why many students struggle academically. Fixed-mindset

In school, whether you’re below average, normal average, above average, or a genius,
the fact that we’re all just human will never change. And as humans, we’re not perfect.
We have mistakes, limitations, and, of course, feelings. We don’t exert much effort on
things we don’t like to do. We get tired when we push ourselves too hard. We make
mistakes as we, in nature, are imperfect creatures.
