USES
● For actions completed in the past at a definite time: I cancelled the tickets

yesterday.

● For a past habit: He went for a walk every morning.

● For an action which interrupted another action that was in progress in the past:

The telephone rang while we were having a meeting.

● For a series of completed actions in the past: She sat down, opened her book

and started reading.

REGULAR VERBS

We use USED TO to talk about things that were true in the
