SUBJECT: 2009 BlueTEC Equipment Delivery and New Billing Process:

This message is to inform that the automatic delivery of the Required Equipment for the 2009
ML, GL, and R – Class BlueTEC launch has been delayed. You will now receive your shipment in
the week of October 20th.

All of the equipment will arrive in one box with the following label on the outside of the box:

Information about the Required Equipment enclosed in the shipment is outlined below and
additional information on their proper use is on Star TekInfo as well as in WIS.

In addition, MBUSA has started a new process that will allow equipment purchases from the
Standard Service Equipment Program (SPX/DES) to be billed to your dealer’s monthly “Parts
Statement”.

• This automatic delivery of this BlueTEC Required Equipment will use this new billing process.
o The total charges shown below will show up on your consolidated parts statement.
