+ STUDENT AGREEMENT Refund Policy (Please read carefully)

The following is an agreement between Site Institute (SI) and a prospective
student. Please make sure that you understand this document before you
complete your enrolment and pay your fees.
As an applicant for enrolment in an SI course(s), I agree to abide by the
following:
• I understand that it is a condition of my enrolment to maintain satisfactory progress (pass 50% of
more of the modules delivered) and attendance (a minimum of 20 hours face-to-face scheduled
course contact per week for the course) throughout my enrolment at a rate that will enable me to
finish my course within the nominated duration.
• I agree to follow Department of Home Affairs (DHA) student visa requirements and I give SI the
right to check my visa status on the DHA Visa Electronic Verification Online (VEVO) system. I
understand that SI has a duty by law to check that my visa details are correct and may need to
notify any changes to DHA.
• I understand that I am required to make every endeavour to meet the requirements of the courses
selected and to abide by SI policies, procedures and the Student Code of Conduct. I understand
that if I breach any of these rules or my behaviour is deemed to be unacceptable, SI reserves the
right to cancel my enrolment and that I may not be eligible to any refund of fees paid.
• Requests for refunds must be made in writing by completing a Refund
Application Form.
• Tuition fees are not transferable to other institutions or other students
once I commence my course.
• All refunds will be paid to the student, unless a written direction is received
to pay the refund to someone else. Refunds will be processed and paid
within 4 weeks of the receipt of the written notification. Payment will be
made by electronic transfer. Bank charges are deducted from refunds made
by overseas electronic transfer.
• If written cancellation of enrolment is on or after the course commencement
date, there will be no refund of any fees paid unless under exceptional
circumstances of a compassionate nature. These include political or natural
disasters preventing the student from leaving their home country and
serious illness, disability or death of immediate family members. Each
request for exceptional circumstances will be reviewed independently and
with the best interests of the student in mind. SI may refund the balance of
unused fees.

• Site Institute may temporarily suspend, or cancel, a student’s enrolment including, but not limited
to, on the basis of: a. misbehaviour by the student b. the student’s failure to pay an amount they

Rights of International Students in Refund Appeals
